Southwestern Ontario recently played host to the Pop n Jay Archery National Championship, bringing together archers from across the country for a fun, fast-paced, and highly engaging competition.
For those new to the format, Pop n Jay is a unique and interactive style of archery that blends traditional shooting with a game-like twist. Archers aim at specialized targets featuring multiple scoring zones and “pop” elements that add an extra layer of excitement and strategy. The format encourages quick shooting, precision, and adaptability, making it popular with both developing athletes and experienced competitors looking for something different from standard target or field events.
The national championship showcased strong participation and a great atmosphere, with athletes of all ages enjoying the dynamic nature of the format. Hosting the event in Southwestern Ontario highlighted the region’s growing archery community and its ability to support innovative and inclusive competitions.
Congratulations to all participants and organizers for delivering a successful national event, and for continuing to grow the sport through creative formats like Pop n Jay.
